A newspaper article in St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspaper dated December 29, 1910 reported William Lindemann, a farmer near Kirkwood, was found hanging dead in his hayloft at noon Wednesday when a daughter went to call him to dinner. He was 50 years old. Why he killed himself is in doubt. Members of the family say they cannot explain it.
Lindemann's farm was half a mile from Barrett's Station on the Missouri Pacific. His widow survives him with three daughters and a son, all grown.7
He was buried on December 30, 1910 in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Des Peres, St. Louis County, Missouri.2,3,68
