Wilson Anthony Block
     His nickname was "Tony." Wilson Anthony "Tony" Block, son of Leslie Walton Block and Lucille Margaret Wilson, was born on July 17, 1927 in Maplewood, St. Louis County, Missouri.2 He was baptized on August 7, 1927 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri.1
Wilson enlisted in the U. S. Army for service in World War II on October 11, 1945 at Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas. His enlistment record stated his term of enlistment was for the duration of the War or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law, he was inducted from civil life as a private. He was identified as a white citizen, was a high school graduate, was single (without dependents) and his civilian occupation was a student. His army serial number was 37819771.2 He and Jacqueline Norma Berg obtained a marriage license on September 10, 1948 at Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri, recorded in book 56, page 381.3
Wilson married Jacqueline Norma Berg, daughter of Elmer Henry Julian William Berg and Marguerite Mary Nixon, on September 11, 1948 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri, the maid of honor was Geraldine Joan Berg. The marriage ceremony was performed by Father Alphonse E. Westhoff. Thomas M. Fox was the best-man.4

In 1978 he lost a leg in a motorcycle accident at the Barrett Station Road exit from highway 270 when he hit the exit sign.
     A dinner in honor of his 50th Wedding Anniversary was given on September 11, 1998 at Rich and Charlie's Restaurant, Crestwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.6
In March, 2004 he had part of his other leg amputated as the result of an infection in his foot. While he was hospitalized at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood his wife, Jackie was in the same hospital for a while but was moved to an extended care facility in Kirkwood. On March 18 she had a heart attack and died the next day.7,5 His wife, Jacqueline, died on March 19, 2004 at age 76.7,8
Wilson Anthony was listed in Jacqueline Norma Berg's obituary on March 19, 2004 as surviving.7
Willy got set of false teeth when he was in his 20's. He was still wearing them when he died, he would superglue them together whenever they broke.
Wilson died on April 4, 2008 at age 80.
His obituary was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in April, 2008. His obituary stated:

Block, O.P. Dominican Sisters-Sparkhill; dear father-in-law, uncle to many, brother-in-law, great-uncle and friend to many. May He Rest in Peace Memorial Mass Fri., April 11, 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 243 W. Argonne (Kirkwood). Interment Private. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the American Red Cross.
