In 1888, Salem purchased a lot and built a new building at Glendale and Hamilton. Then, in 1897 the congregation moved to a new building located on Hamilton and Glen Oak. The current location on War Memorial Drive was built and dedicated on January 19, 1964, with a major addition in 1987. In the mid-to-late sixties, St. James and Faith Lutheran Churches disbanded. Many of their members joined Salem at that time.

A church/school was built later to be followed by a 2nd church (1958) It’s school was served by the Sisters of St Joseph.The parish was suppressed in 2002 and it’s buildings are now used by Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
