Henry died on April 15, 1911 at St. Rochus Hospital in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at age 73 infirmities of age.1
His obituary was published on April 16, 1911.1 His obituary stated:
Henry Houser, 73 years of age, a retired dairyman, residing at 3402 Hanna Street, died at 3 o'clock sunday afternoon at St. Rochus Hospital from the infirmities of age. Three weeks ago Mr. Houser's son and daughter, who were caring for him became ill from scarlet fever and were removed to St. Rochus Hospital. with no one left available for taking care of him, the father was also removed to the institution where his death occurred. Mr. Houser was a lifelong resident of Allen County and had been twice married, both wives having preceded him in death. Two children - Charles and Frances with two brothers, Joseph Houser, of this city, and Charles Houser, of Hoagland survive. the remains were removed to the Getz & Cahill Undertaking rooms and will be held there until Wednesday afternoon. funeral services Thursday Morning at 8:30 o'clock from the residence and at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mr. Houser was a member of St. Martin's Benevolent society and St. Peter's School Society.

Houser, son of Henry Houser and Margaret Kuper, was born on December 7, 1897 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.2,1 He was baptized on December 12, 1897 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, (Baptismal name was Carolium Ambrosium Hauser), sponsors were Charles Hilker and Anna or Lena Cooper.1
The home that Charles grew up in, belonged to his grandparents Louis and Theresa Houser, it was kept in the family from around 1838, when it was a dairy farm, until about 1986. there is a house in the front and a small house set off to the side in the read. The house is located at 3402 South Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a teenager, he worked for his god father, Charles Hilker, who was also his uncle, at his lumber company in fort Wayne. He also worked for his uncles, Charles and Joseph Houser at their sawmill in Hoagland. He later got into real estate and had his own company and also his own construction company, Charles Houser & Son's.1
Charles married Estell Pearl "Stella" Fraikin, daughter of Oscar Jean Julien Fraikin and Catherine M. Lumaye, on June 17, 1917 at Indiana.1,3 Charles A. Houser was employed by Bass Foundry at corner Hanna and Walsh, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, in 1918 as a boiler maker apprentice.2

Charles died on June 8, 1972 at Irene Byron Hospital in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at age 74 of emphysema.1
His obituary was published in the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette Newspaper on June 9, 1972.1 His obituary stated:
Charles A. Houser, 74, of 1319 E. Pontiac Street died at 1:30 p.m. thursday at Irene Byron Hospital, where he had been a patient two months. A lifetime resident of fort Wayne, he was founder of Charles Houser and Sons, general contractors. He attended St. Peter's Catholic Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He is survived by six sons, all of fort Wayne, Wilbert, Floyd, Charles Jr., Donald, Harold, and Raymond; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Robinson, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Lillian Bennett, Independence, MO; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Mungovan and Sons South Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday funeral Service time will be announced. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
