Arthur Kayser of Worden, former resident of Edwardsville, died at 8 o'clock Saturday night at the St. Joseph Hospital in Alton after a lingering illness. He was born near Worden and at the time of his death had reached the age of 61 years, 11 months and 24 days. He was the son of the late Albert Kayser and Johanna Meyer. On March 6, 1905, he was married in Bunker Hill to Miss Anastasia Hartnett.
     Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Chris J. Garde and Mrs. Allen Boner, both of Edwardsville, five grandchildren, one brother, Albert Kayser, of Worden, and one sister, Mrs Ernest Siegel, also of Worden. Besides his parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
     Funeral services will be held at the Wegener Funeral Home in Worden Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Bekemeyer of Prairietown will officiate. Burial will be in the Meyer Cemetery. The body may be viewed Monday afternoon at the funeral home
