She lived in Worden all her life with the exception of 20 years spent in St. Louis, where she was employed. After her retirement she returned here and read a niece, Helen, and two nephew, Herman and Kenneth Roffmann following the death of their mother. Surviving are a brother, H. F. Roffmann of Edwardsville; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Albrecht, Mrs. Ernest ticker, Worden, Mrs. Earl R. Rice, and Miss Augusta Roffmann of St. Louis. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

She had been in ill health for about two years and entered the hospital about two weeks ago. She underwent a surgical operation for double goiter Thursday, death occurring a few hours later.
     The services of tomorrow will be held at the Wagner Chapel, 3621 Olive Street. Rev. R. Jesse, pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran church St. Louis, will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Calvary cemetery.
     Mrs. Epstein was a native of Worden and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Roffmann. The date of her birth was September 19, 1879 and death occurred at the untimely age of 47 years 4 months and 11 days. She spent her younger life at Worden, living in St. Louis for a number of years. Besides her husband she is survived by a son and two daughters. Then are Edwin Epstein, Misses Helen and Marie Epstein.
     She is also survived by five sisters and a brother. They are Miss Helen Roffmann, Mrs. Fred Albrecht and Mrs. E. F. Picker, Worden; Misses Marie and Augusta Roffmann, St. Louis and Herman Roffmann, Normandy, Mo. Several relatives live in Edwardsville.
     Mrs. Epstein was a woman with a pleasant disposition and possessed a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in St. Louis and Worden.
     An additional announcement on November 6, 1926 stated Miss Mae Schroder sang "Face to Face", a quartette from Concordia Seminary sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
     Among those who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Roffmann and son Robert, Mrs. Louis Roffmann and daughter Florence, Mrs. Helmuth Luebker of Crown Point, Ind., Carl Moeller of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Picker and son Ernest, Miss Helen Roffmann, Helen, Herman and Kenneth Roffmann, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Albrecht and son Walter, Mrs. Emma Hellmann and daughter Miss Augusta, Mrs. Henry Emrich and daughter, Miss Olga, Mrs. Emma Dornseif, Mrs. Louis Lueker, H. J. Albrecht, Rev. H. C. Kothe, Fred W. Sassenberg, Charles Merz of Worden; and a number of other relatives and friends from Edwardsville, Maryville, and Collinsville also attended the funeral
