     The funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Patrick's Catholic church

Patrick O'Keefe1

     Patrick is the uncle of Catherine "Katie" Head; this is based on Patrick's obituary. The obituary did not say if Kate was a niece on Patrick or his wife's side.1 Patrick O'Keefe was born in 1837 in Ireland.1
Patrick O'Keefe immigrated in 1850 from Ireland.1
He was one of the workmen who helped make the canal project at Ft. Wayne possible.1 He was employed by Wabash Railroad from 1869 to 1905 with whom he started work soon after coming to America. From 1895 to 1905 he was a crossing watchman, the last five years at Hanna street and before that at Fairfield avenue in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.2 He retired from Wabash Railroad in December, 1905 at Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.2
Patrick O'Keefe lived in 1911 219 West Leith street, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.1
Patrick died on March 11, 1911 at 219 West Leith street in Indiana.1 His cause of death was dropsical complications.1
His obituary was published in the Fort Wayne News Newspaper on March 11, 1911.1 His obituary stated:
Patrick O'Keefe, aged seventy-four years, died Monday morning at the family residence, 219 West Leith street. Death was due to dropsical complications.
     Mr. O'Keefe was born in Ireland and came to this country at the age of thirteen years. He was for over forty years an employe of the Wabash Railroad company, and at the opening of the old canal was one of the workmen who helped make the project possible. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church and of the Rosary society. Surviving he leaves a wife and one niece, Mrs. Kate Racht.
     Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 at the residence and at 9 o'clock at St. Patrick's church.
