A newspaper article in St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspaper dated December 8, 1958 reported Chester H. Faupel, a tariff compiler for the Southwestern Freight Bureau, died unexpectedly of a heart attack yesterday when participating in a bowling tournament at Springfield, Ill.
Mr. Faupel, 50 years old, had been with the Freight Bureau for 34 years. He was treasurer of the Laclede Council of the Knights of Columbus and was formerly grand knight of the council. Mr. Faupel lived at 9025 Kickapoo drive, Afton.
Surviving are his wife and two daughters. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30 at Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Union road and Ripa avenue, Lemay, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.6
